Shani Denise Blevins

Shani Denise Blevins, age 17 of Whitney, passed away unexpectedly on September 15, 2019 in Whitney, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M., Friday, September 20, 2019 at Lawson Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Meridian Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Lawson Funeral Home.

Shani Denise Blevins was born on July 15, 2002 in Fort Worth, Texas to Roger Lee Blevins and Beckey Lynn Allen. She grew up in Rio Vista, Texas and attended schools throughout Hill County. Shani enjoyed art. Often times you would find her coloring or drawing pictures. When she was not being artistic she was playing video games or making her delicious enchiladas. Shani was very active in the Girl Scouts and even a top cookie seller for her group. She also loved to fish with her dad. Most of all she had a passion for animals, especially dogs, that is why she worked at the Hillsboro animal shelter as a volunteer when she could. She will be greatly missed by all.

Left to cherish her memories are her mother, Beckey Lynn Allen of Cleburne; father, Roger Blevins and fiance, Lorie Parrish, of Whitney; uncle, Corey Allen and wife, Patty, of Meridian; cousins, Brandon, Kara, Tara, Misha, Brook, Joseph, and Justin; number of other relatives and many friends.

Preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Rickey and Ruth Allen; and cousin, Kalyn.
