Stephen Ludwig Wuemling

Stephen Ludwig Wuemling age 75, of Iredell, passed away on February 1, 2022 at his residence in Iredell.

Graveside services will be held at 1 P.M., Monday, February 7, 2022 at the Spring Creek Cemetery near Iredell.

Stephen Ludwig Wuemling was born on December 19, 1946 in San Angelo, Texas to Luke and Stella Baker Wuemling. He graduated from Iredell High School in 1965. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Army in fear of being drafted. He was hoping if he enlisted and being he was the only child maybe he would not be sent to Vietnam. Unfortunately he did not get his wish and served his country during the Vietnam War. He married Erie Lous Faires on January 22, 1967 in Orange, Texas. Stephen was a fantastic diesel mechanic. Often times he would get phone calls from people needing help with a vehicle and most every time he could fix whatever issue it was.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Erie Wuemling of Iredell; children, Christopher McDonald and fiance, Tasha Martinez; Stephen Wuemling and wife, Jennifer; grandchildren, Harlow McDonald, Luke Baxter Wuemling, and Seslee Ocegurra; other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, Lucas and Stella Baker Wuemling.
